After enjoying some big-margin wins over the Red Devils for the past couple seasons, Northumberland almost had its homecoming hampered by Lancaster last Friday. The Indians won, 25-22.
Daveon Smith accounted for all of Lancaster’s scoring, giving the visiting Devils a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a 14-yard carry and keeping them in front, 14-13, at the half with a 3-yard keeper and a two-point conversion by Demarcus Howard.
Smith scored his third TD of the night, another 3-yard run, and converted his own score, to give the visiting Devils a 22-13 lead in the third. The Indians battled back to pull within three, 22-19, with eight minutes left and stuck in a late game score for….
