The Northumberland Public Library (NPL), 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, recently published its October events calendar.
A free Beginners Calligraphy class will be held from 2-4 p.m. today, October 2. All supplies will be provided, said library director Jane Blue. The class is for ages 8 and older.
An art exhibit featuring paintings by Hilary G. Derby will continue through the month in the library meeting room. A reception will be held at 5 p.m. October 17.
