The fourth Nutshell Regatta of 2024 was held Saturday, August 17, on the Great Wicomico River.
The boats and sailors tested their skills with 10-12 knot breezes with gusts to 20, which is a hefty amount for a 9-foot pram, reported Ellen Sagan. Most of the participants took on water during one race or another but there were no capsizes.
There were six racers including some new participants and a couple of returning sailors from previous years, said Sagan.
