Nutshell regatta season opens with smooth sailing

Six nutshells charging downwind.

On Saturday, June 12, the Northern Neck Nutshell Racers kicked off their 2021 season with a beautiful regatta on the Great Wicomico River near the bridge.  

After three days of heavy rain, the sky cleared and the breeze turned out perfect for the six boats and sailors, reported Bill England. In just under two hours, they sailed five races to the delight of a lively bunch of spectators.
