Essex High couldn’t keep pace with the Red Devils last Friday when Lancaster blew open a 10-point halftime lead with a 21-12 run and went on to beat the Trojans, 73-53, in a varsity boys basketball game.
The Devils also picked up a pair of easy wins over Rappahannock in the last week, improving to 17-1 overall, remaining unbeaten in the district and in first place at 8-0. Lancaster was scheduled to cap regular season play earlier this week against Northumberland.
The Northern Neck District tournament has been canceled to allow for make-up games to be played. The Region A tournament will begin February 21. The Devils have not lost a….[to-view-more]
