With the Christmas season rapidly approaching it is time to start thinking about packing an Operation Christmas Child box.
“Sharing the Good News of God’s love with hurting boys and girls is at the heart of Operation Christmas Child,” said Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse.
He also notes churches, groups or individuals can “participate in the project by packing shoeboxes with simple gifts that will bring joy to children in need.”
White Stone Church of the Nazarene is excited about being the local relay station for Operation Christmas Child for the eighth year in a row.
In order to make this happen for this year, the project needs volunteers. Local churches and individuals are invited to pack collection boxes and help man the relay station at White Stone Church of the Nazarene. The collection week will be November 13 through 19.
To volunteer, call White Stone Church of the Nazarene, 435-9886, and ask for Cathy Smith or Karen Sciacchitano.
