A cooperative effort of the Marine Science Legacy Program, the Oyster Festival Waterfront Committee and the Oyster Festival Foundation, Oyster Festival Education Day focuses on watershed science and history.
“CA develops a marine science thread throughout the curriculum. Oyster Festival Education Day is a great event for our students to test and expand their understanding of our local waterways and their impact on the resources and development of our community,” said science teacher Robin Blake.
Exhibitors included The Godspeed, The Luna, the Tides Inn, Earth Systems, Biogenic Solutions, Ready Reef, Virginia Cooperative Extension, Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School, The Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Tidewater Soil, Christchurch School, the Friends of the Rappahannock and the Fairfield Foundation.
