KINSALE—Page Randolph Newman, 62, of Kinsale went peacefully home to the Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2024, after a brief and mighty battle with cancer.
Born in Lottsburg, Page was the daughter of the late Albert Sanford Newman and the late Marguerite Beulah Herbert. She was a talented artist and painter. Page was a member of Carmel United Methodist Church in Kinsale and she graduated with distinction from Rappahannock Community College where she was inducted into the National Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa.
Page demonstrated grace and strength throughout the course of her life and her illness was no different. She truly loved the Lord, and her faith carried her through some very hard times. She was a gentle and loving soul who expressed herself best through her art. She loved painting, designing things and gardening. A generous and loyal friend, she helped many people during difficult times in their lives.
Page was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter, Maren.
Left to cherish Page’s memory are her beloved daughter, Margaret Page Goewey and her husband, Mitchell Phillip Goewey; the light of her life, her granddaughter, Maren Page Goewey; her sister, Cynthia Gail Washburn; her brothers, Leslie Sanford Newman (Claire) and Tyler Hartwell Newman (Candy); her nephew, Adam Sanford Wilkins (Kristina); her nieces, Sandy Lynn Newman and Jody Lee Newman; and many beloved friends, neighbors and extended family.
Page was predeceased by her parents Albert and Marguerite.
A memorial service to celebrate the bright light that was Page will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 7, at Carmel U.M.C. The Reverend Mark Lawrence will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service immediately preceding the funeral at the church.
