The Chesapeake Academy Performing Arts and Lecture Series (PALS) on March 23 will present “Simple Machines” by the Virginia Repertory Theatre to kindergarten through grade five students. The presentation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Osprey Dome on the Chesapeake Academy Campus, 107 Steamboat Road, Irvington.
This lively introduction to the scientific principles and properties of simple machines offers students a lively close encounter with levers, inclined planes, screws, wedges, pulleys and the wheel and axle, said head of school Julianne T. Duvall.
For reservations, contact Sonja Smith at 438-5575 or ssmith@chesapeakeacademy.org. PALS programming is funded by the Wiley Foundation with support from the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
