Party at the park kicks off Labor Day events

Friends gathered at Town Centre Park in Kilmarnock Friday, August 30, to mark the beginning of a long Labor Day weekend with BrassWind, a horn and party band from Hampton Roads. Upcoming shows will include SlapNation tomorrow, September 6; Ray Pittman Rockin Blues Band on September 20 and Raquel & The Wildflowers on October 4. Gates open at 6 p.m., concerts begin at 7 p.m. Admission is by season pass, $10 at the gate, or contact kilmarnockva.com/parks/town-centre-park. There will be food and beverage vendors.
