Some 129 Lancaster County Middle School art students in grades six through eight were given the opportunity to participate in the annual Lions International Peace Poster Contest.
The students were given their choice of watercolor, tempera, markers, pencils, pens and pastels to create a work of art, reported publicist Lion Jim Ward. Special need supplies requested by the students were purchased using a donation provided by the Lancaster County Lions Club.
Art teacher Lion Marilyn Spouse led the students through several weeks of exploring the theme, We Are All Connected, through videos, brainstorming sessions, discussions and sharing personal thoughts and feelings.
