The Rappahannock Community College (RCC) Educational Foundation will present the 18th Preakness Party to celebrate the running of the Preakness Stakes from 4-7 p.m. on May 21 at Kennersley on the Coan River at 491 Oyster Road in Lottsburg.
The Preakness Party will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, auctions and a “most audacious” hat contest. The hat contest brings out the competitive spirit in many of the guests who don enormous, colorful hats, reported RCC media services manager Michele Inderrieden.
