Program to offer insight on dragonflies and cicadas

Dr. Richard Groover

The Northern Neck Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists (NNMN) will host a free virtual program at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11.

Retired college professor Dr. Richard Groover, will present “The World of Dragonflies and the Arrival of the 17-year Cicada.”

He received his doctorate from George Mason University in environmental science and public policy. A Fellow of the Virginia Academy of Science, he serves on the board of trustees for the Science Museum of Virginia. He also is actively conducting research on dragonflies in Hanover County.
