Progress reports paint a rosy picture for ongoing Lancaster County projects

LANCASTER—The Lancaster board of supervisors on Thursday, July 28, received progress reports on several ongoing projects.

According to programs manager Travis Pittman, construction on the middle school to elementary school conversion continues on schedule at the Lancaster County Public Schools property on School Street in Kilmarnock.

The Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) will be open to students on August 22, although the playground and equipment still needs to be constructed and installed, said Pittman.

Meanwhile, school officials have been developing traffic flow patterns to ensure a smooth flow of bus and car traffic and planning construction, which will continue while students in grade 5-7 are in the building, he said.

“Basically they will use the left side of the school” while construction continues on the right side….
