The RAL Art Center window gallery display for May will feature images of boats by David Zuck and Ralph Higgins. The display may be viewed from the sidewalk at 10 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
Zuck captures the dance of light and shadow on the natural waterways of the Northern Neck, reported RAL communications team member Ellen Huddy. Zuck’s childhood memories center on the enchanting qualities of “the Rivah” where he spent time here on his uncle’s farm. From these he is inspired to bring the wonderful ambiance of the Rappahannock to his canvases.
His painting, “Another Party with Miss Florence,” features a deadrise which was, at the time of the painting, the oldest work boat still in service in this area of the Rappahannock, she said…
