Rappahannock swept its way through the Northern Neck District tournament last week to win the championship and claim six of the 10 spots on the all-district first team.
Senior Virginia Trible earned the Northern Neck’s top honor as the player of the year and claimed a spot on the first team in leading the Raiders to a 19-4 regular season and 21-4 overall mark after beating Colonial Beach, 3-0, in the tournament semifinal and blanking Westmoreland, 3-0, in the final.
Rappahannock earned a home berth in this week’s Region 1A tournament as the third place seed.
Seniors Blaikley Lewis and Leah Medlin and juniors Sadie Packett, Laney Williams and Maggie Wonderling also represented Rappahannock on the first team.
