Ray attended Strasburg High School and graduated from the Alexandria Barber Academy in Alexandria in 1965. He worked as a men’s stylist and barber for 53 years and owned barber shops in Alexandria, Strasburg and Wicomico Church.
Ray loved hunting, fishing, playing pool and playing drums with various bands.
Per Ray’s wishes, a private family service will be held. He will reside at Panorama Memorial Gardens, 4917 Strasburg Road, Strasburg.
The family would like to thank the Lancashire Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Kilmarnock for their loving care of Ray and the Lancaster Hospice for their care during his final days.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to The American Cancer Society.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
