Academic deans and faculty at Rappahannock Community College have mobilized quickly to deliver remote learning to students after president Shannon L. Kennedy announced the shift on March 12.
The central message of the academic continuity plans for faculty and students emphasized the importance of clear and frequent communication and the abundance of available resources at the college to shift to remote learning successfully, reported director of marketing and communications Jeff Macharyas.
Instructors received training and prepared for online instruction March 16 and 17 and it was class as usual—albeit virtually—on March 18.
