Rebecca Tebbs Nunn of Kilmarnock was invited by the Senior World Pageant to represent the Commonwealth of Virginia in the upcoming World pageant in November.
Nunn was thrilled until she realized the four-day pageant would begin on November 8, Election Day. Nunn is running for the Kilmarnock Town Council and turned down the honor of representing Virginia.
“I feel I must be at the polls on Election Day,” said Nunn.
Since Nunn could not participate in Ms. Senior World, she entered an online photo pageant for the title of Ms. North Carolina Elite. She was eligible for the North Carolina title as she lived in Raleigh, N.C., for 19 years.
She won the pageant, but unbeknownst to her….
