Red Devils amp up on points for the  region tournament

With an unblemished regular season in the books, the Lancaster High School varsity Red Devils have their sights set on a trio of post-season trophies, the biggest of which is the Class 1 crown.

Lancaster beat Rappahannock and Essex by a collective 109 points last week to put an exclamation point on an impressive 21-0 regular season. The Devils were the regular season champions with a 10-0 district mark and enter next week’s Region 1A tournament as the high seed.

The district tournament final is tonight, February 16. Lancaster faced Northumberland in a semifinal earlier this week and Essex played Westmoreland in the other. The winners will vie for . . .
