The Red Devils wrestlers endured a tough run in some close matches the week before the holiday break.

On December 15,  LHS lost two close matches to Northampton and Middlesex in a Middlesex Tri. The Yellow Jackets beat the Devils, 36-30, and the host Chargers downed LHS, 42-36.

Lancaster held its annual Lancaster Duals December 18, hosting six teams in a day long invitational.

“There was an unusually sparse amount of wrestlers at the event this year,” said LHS assistant coach Brad Smith. “And none of the participating teams filled each of the 14 weight classes.”

Franklin won the invitational with Middlesex as the runner-up. Mathews finished third and the host Devils placed fourth.
