With season-opening wins over Middlesex and King & Queen, the Lancaster High School boys soccer team has already improved on last year’s record.
At the helm of the team is new head coach Rob Pittman. He was on the sidelines last year as an assistant to husband and wife coaches Rich and Traci Ford. They traded places this season.
Pittman, who lives in Weems with his wife and children, grew up in Lancaster County and attended Fork Union Military Academy, where he played soccer. He recently returned to the Northern Neck and by day is an assistant golf pro at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club.
