Red Devils squeeze by Drifters, 43-41, to finish a 2-1 week

Lancaster’s varsity boys basketball team beat Westmoreland County’s Washington & Lee and Colonial Beach last week to get off to a 2-0 start in Northern Neck District play.

Lancaster narrowly escaped unscathed, edging the Drifters 44-43 at Colonial Beach last Friday to end a three-game week. The Red Devils took a seven-point lead in the first quarter then were held to five points, including a field goal each by Dorrien Lee and Gerrell Moody, in the second to lead by one, 22-21, at the half.
