Red Devils work hard for 2-2 mark in sandlot action

Middlesex has stumped the Red Devils twice in two weeks as Lancaster has gotten off to a 2-2 start in varsity baseball.

In their first meeting, Middlesex edged LHS, 3-2, with Eli Pittman giving up three runs and three hits for LHS. He struck out three and walked four. Ben Pittman closed the game, striking out two in one inning.

The Devils managed only four hits in the game with Creston Saunders recording two with an RBI. Josh Woolard had a hit and RBI and Pierson Long had a hit.

The two teams met again March 24 with the Chargers scoring the winning run in the bottom of the seventh on a passed ball….
