
FREDERICKSBURG—Courthouse Road in Northumberland County reopened to traffic on Wednesday, June 19, as construction to rebuild the road following damage from Tropical Storm Michael was completed.
Courthouse Road was closed to through traffic for motorist safety on October 12, 2018, after stormwater washed away a portion of the road over Bush Mill Stream and damaged a set of four 96-inch drainage pipes, reported Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) public affairs manager Kelly Hannon.
