
BURGESS—After years of planning and saving, Smith Point Sea Rescue (SPSR) recently took delivery of a new 43-foot Donelle power boat trucked in from Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.
Purpose built for SPSR by Millennium Marine to support all seasons and heavy/cold weather use, the twin Cummins diesel engine vessel is a real no frills work boat, reported secretary Bill Turville. With a large bow, big screws and rudders and a deep full keel, she is ready for heavy seas and hard bottoms.
Launching and christening will take place and Rescue III will be pressed into service in the early spring after….
