The Unique Experience Eatery is not an average restaurant, and that is exactly what pastor John Bibbens was striving for when he opened the restaurant in July 2020. Tucked away at 8200 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, the “hidden gem”—as Bibbens called it—is an effort by Zion Church at Lottsburg to “get away from the hill and into the community.”
Bibbens “knew nothing about the restaurant business” prior to purchasing the building. He and his son, Earl, “his right hand…and sometimes only hand” did much of the renovating themselves. The result is….
