Reece Rhodes won two events to lead the Lancaster High School boys track team at the Caroline Invitational on May 5.
Rhodes won both the discus, 155’7”, and the shot put, 55’7”, and Matthew Kane ran away with a win in the 1600 meter, 4:41.73, as Lancaster scored 69.50 points for fifth place among 15 scoring teams, most of which were Class 3 or larger.
Host Caroline won the meet with 103.50 points. Oscar Smith was second with 96.5 and Brunswick was third with 94.5. Patrick Henry of Ashland was fourth with 71.5.
Kane also cleared 10’6” as the runner-up in the high jump and ran a season best in the 800 meter, 2:03.1, for second place. Josh Woolard also scored for LHS in the 800 meter with a sixth-place finish, 2:11.92.
Sprinter Tyson Henderson had a second best 52:87 to place….
