River Diaz brings home a state championship medal

Lancaster senior River Diaz went 3-1 and won by major decision in his final bout to place third in his weight class at the Virginia High School League Class 1 wrestling championships in Salem February 20-21.

Diaz, a seasoned veteran and returning state qualifier, was the only LHS grappler to place in the two-day tournament…..
