KILMARNOCK—Roberdeau Allison Ludwig, 73, known as “Al” of Kilmarnock passed away Friday, March 8, 2019.
He was born in Fairfax on October 12, 1945. He has resided in the Northern Neck for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane B. Ludwig; his son, Henry David Ludwig; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Redford and Jane Allison Brumfield; two grandsons, James David Ludwig and Wayne Collier; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Corrine Arlene Ludwig.
Al was a graduate of Randolph Macon Academy and Wake Forest University. He was a realtor, broker and appraiser for Sherwood Real Estate and co-owner of Bay Meadows Real Estate.
After retiring, Al was a property manager. He spent most of his time taking care of his wife and enjoyed fishing as much as time would allow. He was an avid model train hobbyist and an avid fisherman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Currie Funeral Home.
