The Rappahannock River Yacht Club (RRYC) Cape Dory Typhoon Fleet recently completed the Spring Series and East Coast Championship Regatta.
There are some 50 Cape Dory Typhoons on Carter Creek and surrounding waterways. There are also boats active in the Hampton Roads area, reported Bob Damon of RRYC.
The Spring Series started April 19 and raced Wednesdays through May 24. During the series 15 boats participated. Team Not So Hot with Tom Chapman and Ed Johnson placed first overall; Team Mad Cow with John Congdon and Mike Miller, second; Team Sweet Pea with Geoff Lawson and Scott Lawson, third; and Team Radio Flyer with Mike Kennedy and Tom Watkins, fourth.
