HEATHSVILLE—Sandra “Sandy” Burgess, 66, of Heathsville passed away in her sleep October 10, 2021.
Sandy is survived by her children, Kristopher Burgess and his wife, Tina, and daughter; Danielle Gifford and her husband, Solomon, and their four children; and Katelynn Burgess and her husband, Michael, and their four children. She is also survived by her sister, Crystal Morris; and brother, Timothy Small.
She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Alice Small.
Sandy was born July 3, 1955, Englewood, N.J., and grew up in Ringwood, N.J. She graduated from Lakeland Regional High School.
While she held many jobs over the years most knew her from her position at the Bank of Lancaster in Kilmarnock.
She also was an active participant in her church, New Life Ministries, in Burgess, where she played bass guitar on the worship team.
In keeping with Sandy’s personality and values, her family will host a celebration of life service in lieu of a funeral and viewing.
