SAT review and dual enrollment discussion slated in Kilmarnock

The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck will sponsor an SAT review on July 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on July 12 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The sessions will be held at the Lancaster County Public Schools Annex Building, 235 School Street, Kilmarnock.

On July 5, Rappahannock Community College dual enrollment advisor and college recruiter Hutt Williams will explain the dual enrollment program and discuss financial aid. Under the dual enrollment program, students can earn high school and college credit for successfully completed courses. Anyone with a desire to learn about the program may attend the informational session.

Meanwhile, Ernest C. Davenport Jr., who has served as director of SAT/ACT review programs for over 25 years will serve as lead facilitator for the SAT review.

The program is free. However, youth that are not registered for the club’s summer session will need to pay a $15 registration fee. Registered youth will receive a test manual and vocabulary builder,  said Davenport.
