School officials share proposed $22.7 million budget with supervisors

HEATHSVILLE—During a special called meeting with Northumberland supervisors on February 19, school superintendent Karen Leslie presented a proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget of $22,709,881 that included a 2.5% salary increase along with covering a 10% increase in health insurance premiums.

This is an increase of $853,155 or 3.9% over the current fiscal year budget of $21,856,726. Leslie said the budget request was made with the caveat that they would “continue to go back and look for further savings.”
