WHITE STONE—The White Stone Police Department received an early Christmas present last week when a town resident presented Police Chief Cliff Dawson a generous donation.
“I’m glad that I haven’t had to use your services…but it’s wonderful to know you’re there,” said Dee Rogers, who donated $10,000 to the department during the Thursday, December 4, White Stone Town Council meeting.
She said Dawson had indicated the department needed a new car. “I know you’ll put it to good use,” she said.
Dee Rogers was joined at the meeting by her son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Cindy Rogers.
