See ‘living history’ at the Heathsville Farmers Market

The Heathsville Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. September 18 at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville. The market is part of the “Make It a Heathsville Saturday” initiative.

As part of the market, members from historical groups will stage a “living history” encampment, said executive director Corinne Becker. A display of historical flags also will be on view.

See folks in costume and learn about local history, said Becker. Groups representing the American Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War and Black history will participate.
