Seeking shelter during uncertainty: Northern Neck real estate market heats up

The future may have seemed bleak earlier in the year due to the pandemic, but 2020 will go down as a record-breaking year in real estate sales for area Realtors.

“This year has been tremendous,” said Northern Neck Association of Realtors president Geneva Dawson, owner of G.C. Dawson Real Estate in Kilmarnock. “2003 though 2006 were booming times, but I’ve seen nothing like this and I’ve been doing this for 48 years.”
