SEM Second Saturday Speakers’ Series will begin on February 11

Mrs. Berkey, portrayed by Candee Pevahouse, shares her Steamboat Era stories with museum visitors.

The Steamboat Era Museum (SEM) will host a speaker series on second Saturdays in February, March, April and May. The public is invited to hear speakers talk about the Steamboat Era and Chesapeake Bay heritage.

The first session, at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 11, will feature Mrs. Sarah Berkey depicted by museum manager Candee Pevahouse and Capt. John Dare Davis played by museum historian Fred Pevahouse, reported executive director Steve Humphrey.
