Sewer, housing and signs signal continued progress for White Stone

WHITE STONE—Construction work should begin on White Stone’s public sewer project in November, according to town manager Patrick Frere.

Frere told council members last Thursday the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved the $4.9 million construction contract with Franklin Mechanical Contractors Inc. of Kilmarnock and all necessary performance and payment bonds have been completed and signed.

A search is underway now for an inspector who must be on the job site daily during construction, said Frere.
