Shauna Deihl McCranie to orate the 128th Holly Ball

Queen Emma Clay Dameron of Reedville has chosen Shauna Deihl McCranie to orate the 128th Holly Ball December 28 at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club.

The Holly Ball is a black tie invitational charity event that benefits the Tidewater Foundation. Proceeds reach the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula communities through grants from the foundation.

Each year the Holly Ball queen selects an outstanding member of the community to provide the annual oration on a topic relating to the spirit and origin of the ball, reported publicity chairman Patricia Gallagher.

McCranie, executive director of the Greater Reedville Association/Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, is a native of Reedville and a retired educator of 31 years. She taught elementary, middle and secondary art, was a gifted and talented coordinator and led much programming in her career as a teacher.
