Sheriff’s Report 06-10-21

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against three individuals.

A White Stone man, 33, was charged May 31 with appearing intoxicated in public and driving while license revoked.

A Heathsville man, 20, was charged June 2 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville man, 54, was charged June 5 with driving without a license and reckless driving: failure to maintain control.

Activity report

May 31: Staff responded to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for a domestic disturbance, to the 100 block of Morattico Road for a reckless motorcycle driver, and to Mary Ball and Field Trial Roads for a downed tree in the roadway.

June 1: Staff responded to the 100 block of Windjammer Lane for the larceny of fuel from boats, to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive to assist White Stone Police Department with a person that appears to be intoxicated in public, to the 18700 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal disagreement, to the 200 block of Clark Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Irvington and Christ Church roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 2400 block of Windmill Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 100 block of Harris Road to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with a combative person with mental issues.

June 2: Staff responded to the 300 block of Twin Branch Road for a domestic assault, to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a trespasser, and to the 2800 block of Weems Road to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with a combative patient.

June 3: Staff responded to the 1800 block of Iberis Road for threats made toward another, to the 200 block of Carters Cove Drive for a trespasser, to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for a child custody issue, to the 700 block of Nugent Lane for identity fraud, to the 100 block of Skye Drive for suspicious activity, and to the 800 block of Hunton Lane for an adult missing person.

June 4: Staff responded to the 200 block of Benson Road for vandalism, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a person struck by a vehicle, and to a walk-in report of a juvenile behavior issue.

June 5: Staff responded to the 2600 block of Browns Store Road to assist Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office with shots fired at a vehicle, to a walk-in report of a child custody issue, to the 100 block of Robinson Road for vandalism to an automobile, to Beach Road for a suspicious person, and to the 400 block of Corrotoman Drive for a burglary and larceny of two firearms.

June 6: Staff responded to the 100 block of Joyful Way for the report of a domestic disturbance.

Staff also conducted 20 traffic stops, issued nine summonses, assisted four motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, investigated six building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged two inmate transports, received 24 E911 hang-up calls, fielded three requests for animal control service and issued two related summonses.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded with Kilmarnock VFD to a structure fire on White Chapel Road.

Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a lift assistance request for EMS on Gunther Lane and with White Stone VFD to an electrical fire on Irvington Road.

White Stone VFD also responded to three separate traffic crashes on Clark Point Road, at Irvington and Christ Church roads and on Windmill Point Road, and to a lift assistance for EMS on Windjammer Lane.
