Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against five individuals.
Felony
Earl Tierone Burton, 68, of Lancaster was charged June 16 with four counts of while being a parent, guardian, or a person responsible for the care of a child under the age of 18, commit a willful act or omission in the care of such child so gross and wanton as to show reckless disregard for human life; drive or operate a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or more by weight by volume or 0.08 grams or more per 210 liters of breath.
Misdemeanors
A Lancaster man, 64, was charged June 14 with driving or operating a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or more by weight by volume or 0.08 grams or more 210 liters of breath after having committed this same offense within 5 years; driving or operating a motor vehicle on a highway during the time the accused was deprived of the right to do so upon conviction of a violation of 18.2-268.3; while being the driver of a vehicle not turning left on a highway that is marked with the double traffic lines consisting of two immediately adjacent solid yellow lines, drive to the left of such lines; and consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving a motor vehicle upon a public highway.
A Warsaw woman, 21, was charged June 14 with knowingly giving a false report as to the commission of a crime to a law enforcement official with the intent to mislead.
A Tappahannock woman, 38, was charged June 15 with failing to appear in court for the arraignment of an underlying charge.
A Lancaster man, 49, was charged June 16 with intentionally destroying, defacing or damaging property with the value of less than $1,000.

June 10: Staff responded to the 2800 Block of Merry Point Road for a burglary and larceny, to a walk-in report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle, to a walk-in report of threats made to harm another, and to the 500 block of Gaskins Road for the report of gunshots in the area.
June 11: Staff responded to the 100 block of Fish Hawk Drive for the illegal dumping of trash, and to the 100 block of Whisk Drive for the report of a larceny.
June 12: Staff responded to the Davis Mill Road area for suspicious activity, and to the 400 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with a domestic disturbance.
June 13: Staff responded to the 1000 block of White Chapel Road for a domestic assault, to the 500 block of White Chapel Road for the report of suspicious activity, to the 100 block of River Bluff Road for an adult welfare check, to the 5900 block of White Chapel Road for a single-vehicle versus a tree traffic crash, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil issue, and to the area of Shore Drive for dirt bikes on the public roadway.
June 14: Staff responded to the 500 block of Belmont Drive for a single-vehicle crash on private property, to the 1300 block of Weems Road for a landlord/tenant dispute, to a walk-in report of the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and to Mary Ball and Old Salem roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash.
June 15: Staff responded to the 800 block of James Wharf Road for a possible intoxicated driver with juveniles in the vehicle, to the 800 block of Greentown Road for a verbal dispute, and to the 8000 block of River Road for a disabled vehicle in the roadway.
June 16: Staff responded to the 600 block of Browns Store Road for a fight in progress, to the 18000 block of Mary Ball Road for livestock in the highway, and to the 2000 block of Regina Road for the report of disorderly person.
Staff also conducted 14 traffic stops, issued 12 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded two deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated eight building alarms, logged three inmate transports, received eight E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 200 block of Crossroads, the smell of smoke in the 100 block of Entertainment Drive and a fire/smoke alarm in the 100 block of Shamrock Court.
White Stone VFD responded to a traffic crash at Mary Ball and Old Salem roads.
Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a traffic crash in the 5900 block of White Chapel Road.
