Sheriff’s Report 06-30-22

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against eight individuals.

Felonies

Keyvone Trayus Williams, 31, of Lancaster was charged June 20 with intentionally damaging property valued at over $1,000.

MyShaun Tyee Porter, 23, of Burgess was charged June 21 with assault and battery of a family member, third offense, stealing property valued at less than $1,000 and revocation of bond for violating pretrial release on a felony offense.

Misdemeanors

A Weems man, 21, was charged June 20 with driving while intoxicated, second offense within 10 years with a blood alcohol content .15-.20% and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A Weems man, 72, was charged June 21 with driving a vehicle on the highway after that privilege was suspended and following more closely than was reasonable or prudent.

A Lancaster man, 34, was charged June 22 with trespassing after being forbidden to do so and two counts of allowing dog(s) to run at large.

A Lancaster man, 31, was charged June 23 with obstructing a law enforcement officer without threats or force and failure to report a property damage vehicle accident.

A White Stone man, 38, was charged June 24 with trespassing after having been forbidden to do so and and shoplifting property valued at less than $1,000.

A Lancaster man, 50, was charged June 25 with assault and battery of a family member.

Activity report

June 20: Staff responded to the 11100 block of Mary Ball Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to a walk-in report of trespassers that occurred at the 500 block of Lara Road, to the 500 block of Oliver Lane to assist another law enforcement agency in locating an individual involved in an investigation, to the 7100 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, to Irvington Road and King Carter Drive for a single-vehicle traffic crash with injuries, and to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road for a domestic assault and vandalism.

June 21: Staff responded to the 17400 block of Mary Ball Road for gunshots in the area in the early morning hours, to the 500 block of Pinckardsville Road fo gunshots in the area, to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road for a wanted person, to the 8600 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, to Johnson and Bald Eagle roads for a verbal disagreement, and to the 8500 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person.

June 22: Staff responded to the 5800 block of Windmill Point Road for a tractor trailer blocking one lane of traffic, to the 100 block of Chesapeake Drive for a civil issue, to the 300 block of Pine Trail to check the welfare of a resident after being alerted by a friend, and to the 100 block of Greentown Road for a downed tree in the roadway.

June 23: Staff responded to Devils Bottom Road for a disabled vehicle causing a traffic hazard, to the 300 block of Shady Lane for a sudden death, to the 700 block of Johns Neck Road for suspicious activity, to 300 block of Pinckardsville Road for a custody dispute, to the 100 block of Blue Jay Lane for a runaway juvenile, to the 3200 block of Crawfords Corner Road for a wanted person, to the 500 block of Rappahannock Drive for a suspicious person, to the 400 block of South Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a fight in progress, to the 1300 block of Irvington Road for a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Fox Hill Drive to assist KPD with a domestic assault.

June 24: Staff responded to the 8400 block of Mary Ball Road to check the welfare of a resident, to the 100 block of Entertainment Drive for a disorderly juvenile, to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a reckless driver, to the 500 block of North Main Street for an abandoned vehicle, to the 200 block of James Cove Landing to check the welfare of a resident, responded to a walk-in report of identity theft, to the 4300 block of Windmill Point Road for a cable line down in the roadway, to White Stone on Mary Ball Road a reckless driver, to the 100 block of Morattico Road for larceny of a generator, and to the 100 block of John Creek Road to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with a fall victim.

June 25: Staff responded to the  4200 block of Irvington Road for a domestic assault, to River and Paynes Creek roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash with serious injuries, and to the 100 block of Wiggins Avenue to assist KPD with a domestic assault.

June 26: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Courthouse Road for an individual with an altered mental status, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, and to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for suspicious activity.

Staff also conducted 32 traffic stops, issued 22 summonses, assisted two motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, investigated nine building alarms, received 19 E911 hang up calls, and fielded 2 calls for animal control.

Fire calls

The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a chemical in a residence on Mary Ball Road; and established landing zones for EMS on Mary Ball Road and at River and Payne roads.

The Kilmarnock VFD responded to downed power lines on Black Stump Road and to a vehicle fire on Old Fairgrounds Way.
