Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against 12 individuals.
Felonies
John Noah Tingle, 38, of Irvington was charged July 13 with four counts of forging a check to the prejudice of another’s rights, four counts of utter or attempt to employ as true a check, knowing such document to be forged, four counts of obtaining by false pretense cash valued at less than $1,000, and with the intent to defraud, issue within 90 days two or more checks, drafts, or money orders which have an aggregate represented value of $1,000 or more.
Alkendra Shatoye Coleman, 32, of Mollusk was charged July 11 with failure to appear on a violation of probation on a felony offense of distribution of a Schedule I/II narcotic.
Alanna Marie Thomas, 21, of Tappahannock, was charged July 15 with taking, driving, or using a vehicle, valued at $1,000 or more without the consent of the owner, driving while under the influence of alcohol, and reckless driving by driving a vehicle that was not under control on the highway.
Cody O’Brien Sanders, 32, of Warsaw was charged July 16 with maliciously causing bodily injury with intent to maim, disfigure disable or kill.
Misdemeanors
A Richmond woman, 32, was charged July 11 with failure to appear in court for arraignment on a trespassing charge.
A Weems man, 34, was charged July 11 and July 14 on two counts of failure to appear in court.
A Lancaster woman, 27, was charged July 12 with assault.
A Lancaster man, 62, was charged July 13 with the violation of without authority and with the intention of converting goods or merchandise to the use of the accused or another person without having paid the full price thereof, or with the intention of defrauding the owner of the value of goods or merchandise, willfully conceal or take possession of goods or merchandise having a value of less than $1,000.
A Lancaster woman, 18, was charged July 13 with the violation of without authority and with the intention of converting goods or merchandise to the use of the accused or another person without having paid the full price thereof, or with the intention of defrauding the owner of the value of goods or merchandise, willfully conceal or take possession of goods or merchandise having a value of less than $1,000.
A Lively man, 38, was charged July 13 with violating a provision of a preliminary protective order.
A Lancaster man, 37, was charged July 14 with failure to appear in court.
A White Stone woman, 34, was charged July 16 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

July 11: Staff responded to Sullivans Road for a noise violation from loud music, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for pieces of wood in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 100 block of Faith Circle for damage to private property, to the 300 block of North Main Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department with an assault and battery, and to the 1700 block of Chownings Ferry Road to check the welfare of a resident.
July 12: Staff responded to the 1900 block of Rocky Neck Road for vandalism of a structure, to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for the report of debris in the roadway causing a traffic hazard, to the 1400 block of Waverly Avenue for check fraud and theft of currency, and to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute.
July 13: Staff responded to the 9000 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance, to the 1300 block of Old Salem Road for a renter and tenant dispute, to the 200 block of Moran Creek Road for threats made to harm another, to James Wharf Road and Rappahannock Drive for a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 100 block of Lively Oaks Road for threats made to harm another.
July 14: Staff responded to the 100 block of King Carter Drive for check forgery, to a walk-in report of threats made to harm another that occurred at the 100 block of Senora Road, to Middle Gate and Irvington roads for a two vehicle traffic crash, and to the 200 block of Methodist Church Road for a verbal dispute.
July 15: Staff responded to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, to a walk-in report of an assault that occurred at the 400 block of North Main Street, to the Norris Bridge for two people walking across the bridge, to the 1400 block of Davis Mill Road for a person with an altered mental status, to the 2100 block of Morattico Road for threats made to harm another, and to the 100 block of Windjammer Lane for an aggravated assault.
July 16: Staff responded to the 100 block of Sunfish Drive for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol, to the 100 block of Whisk Drive for the report of several mailboxes vandalized, to Weems and Irvington roads for the report of a two-vehicle traffic crash, and to the 100 block of Sunfish Drive for a domestic disturbance.
Staff also conducted nine traffic stops, issued four summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded a deer strike accident; handled a call for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged four inmate transports, received 39 E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a power line fire at Crosshills Road and Jessie duPont Memorial Highway; and to a grass fire ignited by a downed power line at Jessie duPont Memorial Highway and Morattico Church Road.
