Sheriff’s Report 08-06-20

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against five individuals.

Felonies

Gregory Nicholas Nundahl, 47, of Weems, was charged July 28 with conspiring to possess a controlled substance classified in Schedule I or II with intent to manufacture, sell, give, or distribute.

Megan Cierra Hill, 29, of Kilmarnock was charged July 30 with perjury: falsely swearing an oath.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster man, 48, was charged July 29 with cruelty to animals: depriving of food, etc.

A Lancaster woman, 30, was charged July 29 with cruelty to animals: depriving of food, etc.

A Weems man, 66, was charged July 30 with contempt of court: failure to appear.

Activity report

July 27: Staff responded to the 9300 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, to the 200 block of James Lane for a possible suicidal person, and to Church Street and Bellevue Road for a reckless motorcyclist without a helmet.

July 28: Staff responded to the 500 block of Rappahannock Drive for an assault, to Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 100 block of Hickory Hill Lane to check the welfare of a resident after being alerted by a relative, to the 2600 block of Morattico Road to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with entry into a residence after receiving a report of a serious medical condition, and to the 500 block of Gaskins Road for shooting into an occupied dwelling.

July 29: Staff responded to the 100 block of Windjammer Lane for a possible suicidal person, and to Buzzards Neck Road for a suspicious vehicle.

July 30: Staff responded to the 100 block of Harris Road for an intoxicated person refusing to leave a facility, to the 4400 block of Irvington Road for a larceny from a vehicle, to the 2000 block of Weems Road to check the welfare of the residents after being alerted by the hospital, and to the 500 block of Southport Lane for a suspicious vehicle.

July 31: Staff responded to the 100 block of Delta View Drive for funds obtained by false pretense, to the 1100 block of Buzzards Neck Road for an abandoned vehicle, and to the 600 of Cedar Pointe Drive for a domestic disturbance.

August 1: Staff responded to Johns Neck Road for a juvenile riding a motorcycle on the highway recklessly, and to the 100 block of Bar Neck Lane for a domestic disturbance involving alcohol.

August 2: Staff responded to the 600 block of Benson Road for a possible suicidal person, and to the 500 block of Johns Neck Road for a civil issue involving property damage.

Staff also conducted five traffic stops, issued a summons, assisted three motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, investigated eight building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged an inmate transport, received 30 E911 hang-up calls, and handled four calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Richtown Road.

White Stone VFD responded to a fire/smoke alarm on Greentown Road.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a utility pole fire on Lawrence Cove Lane.
