Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against two individuals.
A Lancaster man, 62, was charged July 29 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation for failure to comply with the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program on the underlying charge of driving while intoxicated: first offense.
A White Stone man, 34, was charged July 31 with assault and battery a family or household member; six counts of trespassing; entering the property of another for purpose of damaging it; and stalking.

July 27: Staff responded to the 100 block of Sandy Lane for a larceny, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a reckless driver, to the 700 block of Christ Church Road for gunshots, to the 30 block of Ottoman Ferry Road for a suspicious vehicle, and to Old Mill Cove Road for gunshots.
July 28: Staff responded to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, and to the 1800 block of Crawfords Comer Road for a downed tree.
July 29: Staff responded to the 3100 block of Merry Point Road for a verbal dispute, to the 2600 block of Morattico Road for an adult welfare check, to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, and to the 1300 block of Irvington Road for gunshots in the late evening hours
July 30: Staff responded to the 10000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, and to Roseneath Avenue for suspicious activity.
July 31: Staff responded to the 2000 block of Weems Road for trespassing, to Mary Ball and Fleets Bay roads for a disabled vehicle, and to the 700 block of Christ Church Road for threats.
August 1: Staff responded to the 200 block of Campbell Road for a custody dispute, and to the 30 block of Josh Lane for a suspicious vehicle.
August 2: Staff responded to Weems Road for a suspicious vehicle.
Staff also conducted 30 traffic stops, issued 17 summonses, assisted three motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, handled two requests for traffic control, investigated four building alarms, processed four mental health orders, logged two inmate transports, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to separate fire alarms on Byway Drive and Old Saint Johns Road.
White Stone VFC responded to an electrical fire on Weems Road.
