Sheriff’s report 1-23-25

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felony

Derrick Lee Wilson, 44, of Lancaster, was charged January 14 with failure to report for trial January 10 on the underlying charges of two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses and misdemeanor charges of unlawful acts; prosecution proceedings in equity.

Misdemeanors

A Locust Hill woman, 33, was charged January 10 with failure to appear for trial on December 11 on the underlying charge of reckless driving.

A White Stone man, 32, was charged January 13 with driving or operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A Lancaster man, 44, was charged January 17 with failure to appear for trial January 16 on the underlying charge of failure to pay child support.

January 13: Staff responded to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a child custody dispute, to the 100 block of Greentown Road for gunshots, to the 40 block of Lively Oaks Road for a fraud, to the 700 block of Rappahannock Drive for a scam, to the 10000 block of Mary Ball Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an adult welfare check, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a juvenile complaint, and to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for legal advice.

January 14: Staff responded to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a suspicious vehicle, to the 200 block of Lowery Creek Road for a juvenile complaint, and to the 500 block of Ottoman Ferry Road for a scam.

January 15: Staff responded to the 9000 block of Courthouse Road for a disabled vehicle, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 2000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 100 block of Oyster Way for an adult welfare check, to the 100 block of Hills Creek Road for a scam, to Irvington and Weems roads for a reckless driver, to the 1000 block of Windmill Point Road for suspicious activity, and to Mary Ball and Morattico roads for a disabled vehicle.

January 16: Staff responded to the 300 block of James B. Jones Memorial Highway for a disabled vehicle, to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for a child welfare check, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, to the 1000 block of Ottoman Ferry Road for an adult welfare check, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for stalking, and to the 200 block of Newtown Road for a domestic disturbance.

January 17: Staff responded to the 1000 block of White Chapel Road for a domestic assault, to the 2000 block of Windmill Point Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 400 block of Fleets Bay Road for legal advice, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for violation of a protective order, to the 800 block of Nuttsville Road for threats, and to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a disabled vehicle.

January 18: Staff responded to the 600 block of Chesapeake Drive for disorderly conduct, to the 900 block of Rappahannock Drive for trespassing, to the 100 block of Reynolds Farm Road for a juvenile complaint, to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for a civil complaint, to the 700 block of Chownings Ferry Road for an adult welfare check, and to Robbins Lane for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

January 19: Staff responded to the 500 block of Black Stump Road for a noise complaint.

Staff also conducted 28 traffic stops, issued 20 summonses, assisted five motorists, recorded two deer strike accidents, investigated five building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received seven E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to fire alarm calls at 24 Dogwood Lane and 974 Paynes Creek Road.
