Sheriff’s Report 10-31-24

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felony

Dylan Lee Dodson, 22, of Heathsville was charged October 26 with rape when such act was accomplished against victim’s will, by force or threat.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster man, 19, was charged October 23 with failure to appear in court for arraignment on October 22.

A Lancaster man, 23, was charged October 24 with using profane, threatening or indecent language over public airways or by other methods.

A Kilmarnock man, 26, was charged October 23 with failure to appear in court for arraignment on October 22.

Activity report

October 21: Staff responded to Ring Farm Road for a suspicious vehicle, to Windmill Point Road for a traffic complaint, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for threats.

October 22: Staff responded to the 80 block of Kingfisher Circle for legal advice, to the 4000 block of Weems Road for a scam, to the 70 block of Alfonso Road for suspicious activity, and to the 1600 block of Goodluck Road for trespassing.

October 23: Staff responded to Avis Trail for an abandoned vehicle, to the 300 block of Rappahannock Drive for panhandling, to the 800 block of Nuttsville Road for a verbal dispute, to the 400 block of Aquilla Point Road for suspicious activity, and to the 500 block of Rappahannock Drive for a suspicious person.

October 24: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for threats, to the 60 block of Beach Creek Road for abusive and insulting language to E911 Communications Dispatch, to the 2000 block of Fleets Bay Road for suspicious activity, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a disabled vehicle, and to the 200 block of Chesapeake Drive for a disabled vehicle.

October 25: Staff responded to North Main and School streets for a disabled vehicle, to Weems and Irvington roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute, to the 800 block of Rappahannock Drive for a reckless driver, to the 3000 block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute, to the 3000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, and to the 1700 block of Goodluck Road for a suspicious person.

October 26: Staff responded to the 100 block of Jeffery Avenue for an adult welfare check, and to the 100 block of Eubank Drive for suspicious activity.

October 27: Staff responded to Reynolds Farm Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 200 block of Poplar Neck Road for a larceny and destruction of property, and to the 400 block of Twin Branch Road for destruction of property.

Staff also conducted 43 traffic stops, issued 40 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded four deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated seven building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged an inmate transport, received four E911 hang up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 4394 Bluff Point Road and to a structure fire at 1095 Laurel Point Road.

Upper Lancaster VFD responded to a structure fire at 1932 River Road and to a vehicle crash at Reynolds Farm and River roads.

White Stone VFD responded to a vehicle crash at Weems and Irvington roads.
