Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie had no criminal charges to report for the week ending December 1.
Activity Report
November 25: Staff responded to the 5000 Block of Morattico Road for illegal dumping, to Airport and River roads for a downed tree, to the 30 block of Courtney Road for a larceny, to the 600 block of Mosquito Road for an adult welfare check, and to the 60 block of Beach Creek Road for suspicious activity.
November 26: Staff responded to the 4000 Block of Mary Ball Road for a verbal dispute, to the 4000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 1000 block of White Chapel Road for an adult welfare check, to the 100 block of Methodist Church Road for suspicious activity, to the 4000 block of Peach Tree Lane for illegal dumping, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for embezzlement.
November 27: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Regina roads for a reckless driver, to the 400 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for a fight in progress, to the 40 block of Breezy Point for a suspicious person, to the 3000 block of River Road for a disabled vehicle, to James B. Jones Memorial Highway for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Windmill Point Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 2000 block of Merry Point Road for destruction of property, and to the 8000 block of River Road for a domestic disturbance.
November 28: Staff responded to the 8000 Block of Mary Ball Road for a child custody dispute.
November 29: Staff responded to Mary Ball Road and Dilvers Lane for debris in the highway, and to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for a domestic assault.
November 30: Staff responded to the 200 Block of Riverwood Drive for a larceny, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person, and to the 1300 block of Ocran Road for a suspicious vehicle.
December 1: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, and to Mary Ball and Ocran roads for a suspicious person.
Staff also conducted 17 traffic stops, issued 13 summonses, assisted four motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled a request for traffic control, investigated eight building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged two inmate transports, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.
Fire call
White Stone Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a fire alarm at 398 High Bank Road.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 13 individuals.
Felonies
Desmond Brice O’Neal Wiggins, 18, of King George was charged November 20 with maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle and manufacturing a trigger activator. He also was charged with having a concealed firearm, reckless handling of a firearm and obstruction of justice.
Markice Devell Noel, 43, of Heathsville was charged November 25 with malicious assault with severe injury, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, first offense and shooting into an occupied dwelling. He also was charged with brandishing/pointing a firearm. These were warrants issued by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and he was served by NCSO.
Misdemeanors
A Heathsville man, 39, was charged November 18 on a show cause summons for failing to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
A Warsaw man, 35, was charged November 19 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear on original charges of child support.
A Reedville man, 47, was charged November 19 with operating without a contractor’s license. He also was charged on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Henrico County General District Court for failing to appear on original charges of driving under the influence of drugs.
A Heathsville man, 22, was charged November 21 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to report for office visits and random drug testing.
A Heathsville woman, 23, was charged November 21 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Henrico County Juvenile and Domestics Relations Court for failing to appear on original charges of abduction by force/intimidation.
A Callao man, 53, was charged November 21 with criminal trespassing.
A Heathsville man, 33, was charged November 22 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear on an original preliminary protective order.
A Heathsville man, 24, was charged November 24 with assault and battery of a family member.
A Newport News man, 21, was charged November 25 with assault and battery of a family member and petit larceny. These charges were from the Newport News Police Department and he was served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
A Callao man, 28, was charged November 25 with assault and battery of a family member. This was a Westmoreland County warrant served by the NCSO.
A Lottsburg man, 29, was charged December 1 with assault and battery of a family member.
