Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.
Felony
William David Rogers, 50, of Weems was charged February 7 with abduction by force, intimidation of deception and two counts of assault and battery of a family member.
Misdemeanors
A Richmond man, 58, was charged February 25 with battery on an emergency health care provider within the facility and appearing intoxicated in public.
A Kilmarnock man, 37, was charged February 26 with violation of community-based probation.
A Deltaville man, 54, was charged February 29 with impersonating a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest/obstructing justice without force, operating a motor vehicle after the privilege has been revoked, driving while intoxicated: second offense within 10 years with a BAC of .25% or above, reckless driving and refusal of a blood or breath test, second offense.
Activity report
February 24: Staff responded to the 2200 block of Black Stump Road for a suspicious person, to the 2900 block of Merry Point Road for a domestic dispute, to the 200 block of Crescent Cove Lane for a missing utility trailer, and to the 100 block of Primrose Path to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with entry into a house after receiving a report of a person needing medical attention.
February 25: Staff responded to the 100 block of Wiggins Avenue to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department with threats to harm or kill another, to Western Branch Road for a truck parked in the roadway, to the 10000 block of Goodluck Road for a person with mental issues, and to the 500 block of Hoecake Road for vandalism and a family member with mental issues.
February 26: Staff responded to the Lively area of Mary Ball Road for a suspicious person walking in the roadway, and to the 400 block of Wilson Lane for a disagreement involving alcohol and a firearm.
February 27: Staff responded to the 300 block of Baywalk Drive for a possible burglary, to the 8200 block of Mary Ball Road for an abandoned vehicle, and to the 2900 block of Lara Road for suspicious persons.
February 28: Staff responded to the 8000 block of River Road for burglary of an outbuilding, to the 200 block of Beach Road for a trespasser, to Gaskins and Greentown roads for the reckless use of a firearm, to the 100 block of Cliff View Road for a verbal disagreement involving alcohol, and to White Stone for a person impersonating a law enforcement officer.
February 29: Staff responded to the 2200 block of Black Stump Road for an abandoned vehicle.
March 1: Staff responded to a walk-in report of a domestic assault, to the 100 block of Ring Farm Road for the report of a sudden death, and to Harris and Mary Ball roads for a suspicious person walking in the highway.
Staff also conducted 31 traffic stops, issued 11 summonses, assisted six motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled three calls for traffic control, investigated a building alarm, processed two mental health orders, logged two inmate transports and received eight E911 hang-up calls.
Fire calls
The Kilmarnock and White Stone volunteer fire departments responded to a vehicle and brush fire on Monarch Shores Road.
The Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a lift assistance request on Byway Circle.
EMS calls
For February 23-29, the Kilmarnock-Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad, Upper Lancaster Volunteer Rescue Squad and Lancaster County Emergency Services responded to 36 calls, including 20 medical emergencies, nine injuries, two fires and five other calls.
